Summer is one of the most popular times of the year in the Smoky Mountains. As the temperatures begin to rise, wildlife comes out to show off, and the local landscape paints peaceful scenes, there’s plenty to do and see! Not sure how to spend your time in the Smokies this summer? We’re here to help! Here are 5 things to do during summer in the Smokies to make the most of your time in the area:

1. Explore the National Park

The Gatlinburg Fourth of July Midnight Parade is a must and includes spectacular fireworks the kids will love! The Patriot Festival features live entertainment, special guests, delicious food and fireworks.
